I was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and moved to Cape Coral in 2006. My wife is a teacher at Oasis Elementary, and we have a daughter named Addison. I graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. I also have a Master of Science Degree from Barry University in Educational Leadership. Before moving to Florida, I taught and worked for 11 years with at-risk youth for one of the Pressley Ridge Schools, which was an outdoor residential treatment center for adjudicated boys. I began teaching World History in 2006, the same year Oasis Middle opened its doors. In 2009, I became the school’s Dean of Students, and three years later became the school’s Assistant Principal. I was honored to become the Principal in 2015.
I have been in education for 36 years and at Oasis since 2009. This is my second year as Assistant Principal. I have my BA from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY and my Masters in Education Leadership from Barry University. I am a native New Yorker. My family and I moved to Cape Coral in 1992. I have 3 children, Eddie an employee here in our wonderful system, Corey a mom living In North Carolina with my 3 beautiful grandchildren, and Chris a student at UNF. My husband Ed is a retired First grade Detective from the NYPD and currently the head coach of Cape Aquatics here in the Cape. I love every minute of working in this great system and best school!
Dean of Students
I have been a teacher for 24 years and have worked at Oasis, since its doors opened in 2005. I am excited to take on a different role here at Oasis Middle School as Dean of Students.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the City University of New York.
At Oasis Middle School, we are dedicated to ensuring each child is provided a safe place to learn. My main goal is to build positive relationships with all students and parents, and to help students resolve challenges, conflicts or problems they might face throughout the school year.
